WHAT ARE THE
COURSE DATES?
For the first weekend, candidates arrive early in the
morning of Friday, Oct. 1st and will depart in
the late afternoon on Sunday, Oct. 3rd. For the
second weekend, candidates arrive early in the morning of
Friday, Oct. 15th and will depart in the late
afternoon on Sunday, Oct. 17th.
WHERE WILL
THE COURSE BE HELD?
Wood Badge 95 will be held at Camp Cherokee, located in
Athens, Texas. Camp Cherokee is part of the larger Clements
Scout Ranch. More information on Camp Cherokee may be

WHAT IS THE
COST?
The course fee is $220. Please fill out the
registration
agreement form.
WHERE WILL I
SLEEP?
On the first weekend you will be staying in your own tents
or canvas wall tents (summer camp type) if you cannot
arrange to bring a tent of your own. On the second weekend,
you will be sleeping in a tent that you will bring.
WHAT ABOUT
MEALS?
Cooking on the first weekend will be done by Wood Badge
staff. On the second weekend, your patrol will be preparing
backpacking type food that your patrol has purchased.
WHAT IF I
NEED A SPECIAL DIET?
We will attempt to assist with any special dietary needs if
we are informed of such needs in advance. Please note your
needs on the Personal Resource Questionnaire.
ARE THERE ANY
MEDICAL RESTRICTIONS FOR THE COURSE?
NO medical limitations should prevent you from participating
in this course; however, a
BSA medical form
is required.
WHAT ARE THE
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS?
You will wear a full official BSA field uniform for your
position in Scouting. A full uniform consists of a Scout
shirt, Scout pants or shorts, Scout belt, and Scout socks.
There are times during the course when you may wear an
"activity uniform" consisting of a course T-shirt (that will
be provided), Scout pants or shorts, Scout belt, and Scout
socks.
WHAT GEAR DO
I NEED TO BRING?
The personal equipment list for each weekend of the course
can be downloaded in the
Resource Center.
WILL WE DO
ANY HIKING OR BACKPACKING?
On the second weekend, we will backpack in Camp Cherokee.
This will be a short hike not an endurance test.
WHAT WILL THE
WEATHER BE LIKE?
Weather in north Texas can mean any number of things; cool
nights, warm days, thunderstorms. Texas weather is
unpredictable so you will need to be prepared by bringing
appropriate clothing and gear.
HOW DO I SIGN
UP?
Registration is currently
underway. We encourage you to register as soon as possible
to assure yourself of a place in the course.
Please note that in order to attend Wood
Badge you must have completed training specific to your
current position. You may find out the

Acceptance Form" and mail it along with the full
payment.
